Hernandez in Holyoke in an April 2007 daytime gun battle between members of the Latin Kings and LaFamilia street gangs. Gabriel L. HernandezTwo other co-defendants had previously had their cases dropped so there is no one now charged with the fatal shooting of Hernandez, 22, of 16 Noel St. in Springfield. Hernandez’ father has told The Republican in the past few months he felt the system was failing his son because no one was tried for his murder.
“I don’t think justice is being done here,” said Luis A. Hernandez, 51, of Jersey City, N.J."
